    Any experience with BioLogic Maximum

Yes, it ended up being the tallest, large leafed, healthiest, brassica I've ever had.Deer demolished it, but they do on all the brassica. It is the kind of kale they have in there. I thought I found it at deer creek, but it just hasn't matched the winter greens. I've tried 3 years now.

    Feedback on rifle choices needed

I was in the same boat as you are looking for a left hand 7mm o8 for my son. I had limited choices but the axis and the American were on my list. I did a bunch of comparisons. You tube has some videos comparing the two. They both have about the same accuracy, but according to everything I saw...

    types of bedding trees?

I don't have a lot of white pines on my land but everyone of them has deer beds under them in the winter. I think they like that it keeps the snow of them and the needles make a soft warm bed. I have found a couple sheds under these. I have also noticed that they deer really seem to like to bed...

    Pond overflow and berm

I like your idea. If you can get the water more contained instead of flooding the whole area the trees should be able to make it. I'm not sure about the permit deal, but if you go thru the DNR,Army Corp they will make you jump thru hoops. It would probably not be worth it financially.

    Fawn eater down

Yes, We were just allowed to use cable restraints for the first time maybe 6 years ago. WI has one of the most strict guidelines to follow in the country. I actually like the guidelines on them. It is tough sometimes to find the perfect spot. Some of the rules are they cant be set near anything...

    Brush Clearing on Steroids

They are awesome machines. I used one on my land to clear out 3.5 acres of heavily overgrown pasture. It mowed down 10ft tag alders like you were cutting your grass. It looks great, you definitely got your moneys worth.

    Fawn eater down

I'm now using the 3/32 Dakota 7x7 cables that come pre dyed. I like them but don't care for the plastic whammy. The ones I had trouble with were Snare Shop 3/32 7x7. They actually pulled the cable out of the bottom swivel, not were they are supposed to break away. I called the company and the...

    Fawn eater down

Nice. The coyotes are coming thru my property at home almost everyday. Coyote to deer tracks are 4 to 1. My friend thought he had one chew out last week too, I can't believe they can chew thru that cable. I think I received a bad batch one time and had 2 break out very easily. I bought some new...

    Fawn eater down

We got this coyote last week with a cable restraint on only the third day out. My son was bugging me everyday to put some sets out.

Trees...visual barrier...norway, white pine, white spruce question??

The blue spruce are planted at my house in SE WI.I believe it is cytospora canker. The bottom branches start to die and turn brown. Then it works itself towards the top and the tree just gets thinner and thinner. Yes the scotch pines grow way faster than the red pines by me. I planted 50 red...

    Any experience with BioLogic Maximum

I tried it and it grew ok, I wouldn't say it was better than the seed I get in bulk from Walters or Deer creek. I have tried a bunch of BOB's and only one has outperformed my own mixes. The mix was whitetail institutes winter greens. I don't know if it was a fluke or what but it was the best...

Trees...visual barrier...norway, white pine, white spruce question??

I would also suggest a variety of pine/spruce. I almost made the mistake of planting all blue spruce at home because they looked the best. My dad liked a more natural look so he wanted a bunch of different spruce and pines. A lot of our blue spruce now have some disease and are getting thinner...

What to do with newly graded road?

I know it would work great with the clover to frost seed it. The winter rye will germinate at somewhere around only 34 degrees. I would think the grass seed would stay dormant till its ready to germinate, but I don't know for sure.
