I ran over to his place this weekend and grabbed 5 sweet advent pear trees. I got one in the ground and the rest are in pots. I'll get spots ready for them this summer and get them in the ground in the fall.
I saw a 4 point last night still holding and my wife saw a 10 with both sides. Neighbor told me last week he had five come through all still holding both. I'll wait until mid February to start looking.
I grabbed 2 pear and 2 persimmon. I'm done now for a long while. 50+ fruit trees on my place and want to start focusing on nuts now. I'm doing pick up, have picked up probably 5 timed and enjoy the conversation.
All of my named trees have leafed and bloomed but 4 wild trees are just starting to bloom. I keep notes and this is their typical bloom time each year. These 4 start dropping in October and are finished by the 4th week of October. Roughly golf ball sized apples.

I quoted someone saying their local school had them and I asked for the name of the school. You quoted me and gave me a school name. I didn't go back to see that you weren't the person I was asking, but by answering me specifically when I was asking for a school that had litter boxes, you see...
What school? I want to contact to them to verify? I've heard this same story before and when contact is made, there is no proof. I'm also a teacher. Next year is 20 years as a high school math teacher.
I have a Gerbing heated jacket. On high it lasts a couple hours and is just enough to keep me on stand but not hot. It's only 6 or 7 watts though, so nothing powerful. I only use it in archery. I've considered buying more batteries so I can use it longer, but most of my evening hunts are only 2...
I put a little on a cotton ball and put 2 or 3 dabs on the tree above my head then drop the cotton ball on the ground. I rarely even smell it. It was a big discussion on a PA site I'm on.
