Not the way to harvest a buck

My cousin was driving the dirt road to our lease, about 40mph, in the dark, and a nice buck came out of the ditch, hit his left front tire from the side, then ass careened into his drivers door, setting off the door curtain bags like yours apparently. Odd thing about it...there was about 10...

    Cuddelink L series Q & A

i thought if you had a cam set to home, it would not take pics, only function as a home unit. I'm officially schooled. Sorry for the misinfo!

    Live from the stand thread

I have 2 doe units, 3 in each one, living in my immediate main stand area, lets say 10-40 acre spread. Since I have to walk thru their "property", they know I'm in there, no matter what route I take in or out. Even if they're away, & I sneak in, once they get within bow range, I guarantee you...

had the classic south to north windshift saturday in oklahoma. the past week was warm weather, and the buck pics nearly stopped last week. As expected, Saturday evening was very active. First had 2 forkhorns chasing a skin head, prancing their ass off, nose low and poked out, and even stopped...

    Cuddelink L series Q & A

i have the 3600 panels, and I've had great use from them, even tho they may only get less than half a day of sun. when we have 3-4 days of rain or bad weather, the panel will get low, but have batteries in the unit for backup.

    Trailcam pics

Hmmm...since this pic is 2 yrs old, and that guy's a beast in '23...can't imagine he'd look like that at 2.5. gotta go with 5.5-6.5 now

    Trailcam pics

He's standing in the exact same spot on every pic. no swayback, no grey hair, but hard to see his muzzle well. I'll be the first one to bite and say he doesn't look old to me. maybe 2.5 to 3.5

Are the glory days of deer hunting coming to a close?

Agreed. awhile back i was posting about my hunting coming full circle. Started deerhunting at 12 with grandpa and uncle. Brown jersey gloves on, sometimes tubesocks for gloves. Mtn Dew in my back pocket and a gun/longbow in my hand. Meeting up at the truck for bologna sandwiches at lunch...

that is correct. i've never been close to filling up a card.

    Cuddelink L series Q & A

Every pic that every cam takes saves as a high res pic on that cams card. Since the images are sent from cams to the home unit as low res pics, every pic that comes to the home unit is also saved on that card, just in lo res. The card will have a separate folder for each camera photos. Lo res...

For the first time, last year I packed a lithium battery w/ inverter to my big blind to run my laptop to do some necessary work. This year rolled around, and I'm like NOPE, I'm not fricking doing that again! Now I feel like I just hexed myself...

    Cuddelink L series Q & A

There seems to be deals everywhere. saw where sportsmans warehouse has 2 cams and a cell unit for $299. cell units should be $80-90, and the new L units are around $130 also note that on cuddebacks website, they have the old model G cameras, brand new, for only $100. They work perfectly fine...

    Cuddelink L series Q & A

Like John said above, you can use a camera as a home unit that all your pics get delivered to. But, don't do that, cause the cell unit is not only cheaper than a cam, but you'd lose a camera making it a home unit. You don't have to have a cell subscription for the home unit to work. My first...

    Cuddelink L series Q & A

poor nighttime pics. the black flash range seems to be about half of regular IR. its doable if your set up is taking pics at fairly close ranges. The deer find my cameras, black flash or not. I've used both for a long time now (cuddebacks) and I haven't noticed anything that tells me the...
