    Native Hunter Apples 2023

She gotta have the screaming daemons after all those pears. You might want to check for her dragging her tail in a cool creek somewhere.

So I went to Robert’s Idaho.

I would say that it has more to do with the weather conditions during pollination. If we have a lot of rain during the pollination period, we have less acorns than we do when it is dry. Wind is the pollen carrier and rain limits that. That said, there are some that I have noticed that were...

    Seed options for failed plot

Did the seed you planted germinate and die, or is it still in the ground waiting for rain? If it's still there waiting for rain, I wouldn't do anything. If it germinated and died, I would just sling a winter wheat and rye grain plus maybe some small seeds like mentioned above.

Starlink with Cat5E cables in new house….help

I have a tp-link mesh system (link below) that I got on Amazon years ago and it works great. That is not going to help you with your wired system though. My house is roughly 4200 sf and we have not had any connectivity issues since I installed it...

    Fish finder transducer storage?

If I recall correctly, the standard transducer was a 50/200 for the Hook series, but they also have/had a splitshot version in 83/200 HDI . If this is for pond fishing, I don't think you would notice a justifiable difference in the two. If you decide to get another one, you need to make sure...

    Fish finder transducer storage?

That depends on which transducer you have. Since it is a splitshot, you will need to stay with another splitshot transducer. Do you know which transducer you have?

Dove Plot - Soon to be Food Plot

Our shoot was rather slow until after the monsoon rain we had come though. Got some birds, but nothing crazy like a tailgate full. 😎 I will definitely be planting the upper pasture next year.

    Fish finder transducer storage?

Leaving it underwater will not hurt it, but the growth on it will reduce the performance. I would figure out a way to pull it out 1-2 times per year to clean it.

Lack of rain, what do you do

There is never a bad time to spread lime. As far as planting plots, you are from GA, so you already know what September and October are like. I never plant until early October unless there is significant rain late September continuing into October.

    Newbie Land Tour

Looks great and you can have those timber rattler's! Have you considered putting an exclusion cage on your plot?

Dove Plot - Soon to be Food Plot

Do you get them later in the season? I would have a hard time planting as much as you do just to see a few birds. It would be different if we were shooting limits in an hour or two. With rain in the forecast, I took a few hours off yesterday to complete the burn. Of course the forecast has...

Dove Plot - Soon to be Food Plot

Thinking back, the best dove shoot we ever had was in a first year cutover where we planted wheat, rye and oats on all of the logging roads and two plots in a +/- 30 acre area. May have planted a total of 3 acres and we didn't do anything after the fall planting except drive the atv down the...

Dove Plot - Soon to be Food Plot

We eat all the pigeons we shoot. Don't think I ever ate a crow, but have eaten crow several times. 🙄
