did you have to get any of the filler blocks? i cut up a salmon filet and sealed a couple small pieces separately and didn't get the type of seal id have expected.

Will do. I cut a section of tree tube to 18 inches and then put a wire cage around to protect from deer. Ive had really good luck doing this with chestnuts but was pretty disappointed with the chinquapin growth. Hopefully it goes better this year. Would be cool to have several years of trees...

They suggest direct seeding but i got about 10 inches out of them last year. If i dont do better than that this year i will try starting indoor going forward.

I got my 5 from the Ozark Chinquapin Foundation again this year so hope to have some diverse trees planting those each year.

Its not a miracle worker by any means but candle wax seems to help.

It would be easier to hack the federal reserve than bitcoin. That's the entire premise behind blockchain and why even the USD will be on blockchain eventually even if bitcoin fails.

According to the foundation the parent trees are blight resistant but they can not guarantee the nuts will be. They have been "breeding" trees for 15 or so years from all over the country. Seemingly with much more success than they have had with American chestnuts.
