Reasons to use AMS with glyphosate

I cracked up when I read this. I do the exact same thing.

    sun hemp vs milo

I think it’s relative. If you’re planting GMO beans like Eagle or Real World, then Power Plant isn’t much more expensive. I’ve found that I can’t get an acre of Eagle beans to outgrow the deer pressure, but an acre of Power Plant thrives until the deer slam it during bow season. Next year...

    sun hemp vs milo

That’s funny. Don is an outspoken Whitetail Institute fan, but when he convinces himself of something, I don’t think anybody is going to change his mind. I expect he wouldn’t be able to coexist with a forum like this and maintain his sanity, but I could be wrong....

    sun hemp vs milo

Whitetail Institute Power Plant - soybeans, cowpeas, sunn hemp and sunflowers. They switched from milo to sunn hemp a few years ago. A great combination and a fantastic food plot product.

    Annual clovers

Good advice. I'm actually in 7A. My reference to NY was this 2019 food plot review from some guys on the southwest edge of the Adirondack Mtns. 2019 Food Plot Review I'm envious of the tall and lush annual clover plot they were able to produce for Sep and Oct with a July 4 planting. Some...

    Annual clovers

For deer hunting purposes, it appears that the key is to plant select annual clovers in mid-summer instead of early fall. A successful July planting will have enough time to crank out plenty of forage to draw deer during Sep/Oct bow season, assuming adequate rain and manageable temperatures...

Food Plot Ideas that won't get scorched

I’m glad you wrote this. I’m still relatively new to plots and I’ve stumbled upon a similar observation. The last two summers/falls I didn’t have time to tend to all of my perennial plots. My trail cams revealed that the ones that I sprayed and mowed and that looked impressive received regular...

    Iron&clay cow peas

Our deer ignore cowpeas for most of the summer if there are soybeans near by. Then in late Aug / early Sep they hammer the cowpeas when the beans are wiped out. The attraction between the two isn’t even close in my experience.

    WINA products

Personally, I like WINA for their perennials and Power Plant. I’m a big believer in their clover. If it were me, I would supercharge that WINA clover plot with WINA chicory (or just use WINA Fusion, which is their clover + chicory mixed together). For the small 1/3 acre plot, I might consider...

Whats your go to brassica mix

Note that he’s not saying to avoid the use of rape in a brassica mix. His beef is specifically with the Dwarf Essex variety, and he’s suggesting that food plotters avoid it in favor of other rape varieties. I thought it was interesting because I’ve seen many people write about using DER in...

Whats your go to brassica mix

I found Jeff's explanation for hating on DER....it's just cheap filler! Brassica Blend -My favorite brassica blend is available through Northwoods Whitetails, Inc., but regardless of what you use, the lower the % of Dwarf Essox Rape (DER), the better. DER is a cheap, low volume filler and the...

Whats your go to brassica mix

I saw a video with Jeff Sturgis where he talked about the brassica blend he buys and how he likes it because it has no DER. Evidently he’s not a fan of it. Not sure why.

    Danger - Fimco sprayers

On my Fimco ATV sprayer that bypass tube is rigid plastic. I like my sprayer. It works great on my plots.

Some of you guys need to quit being so pessimistic and get with the program. The label clearly states: "GROW MONSTER DEER" "EXPLOSIVE FOOD PLOT FERTILIZER" If you want to grow big racks, ORDER NOW! Lol

    Bone Collector Buck Gro

What Waddell and Bone Collector have done is partner with U.S. Ag in Georgia to take one of their foliar feed products, slap a picture of Waddell on the container with the Bone Collector logo, and sell it to hunters....potentially at a markup. Similar foliar products can be found on Amazon for...
