You probably saw my post about my experience with B118 on the other thread. The franklin have taken to the B118 rootstock and do well and have had decent apples, the problem with here seems to be with the B118 rootstock and leaning. If B118 works in your soil the Franklin should do well.

We are a year behind you in the same quest. Progress is going at about the same speed as yours. Better filtration, more worms and better plant growth with each passing year so far. We stopped fertilizing when we started. Seems to be working slowly but surely.

Unless the price was right I would look for another machine. Could be fine but I always trust my gut and sounds like yours is telling you something.

Dolgo has become my favorite rootstock. All of mine have done great. I wish Bluehill still sold the rootstock for grafting.
