No. My pear trees are still pretty young (3rd growing season I believe). The majority of them had blossoms but fruit never materialized.

I have a couple Kerr but wasn’t able to get any scion from them this spring. My topworking has had good graft success, but not good growth. I think I’m leaving too many nurse branches that are taking up all the nutrients.

This thread has me really wishing I had planted more Trailman and Chestnut. Currently only have 1 of each, both young and not yet producing. I did graft a few Trailman this past spring. I will probably topwork a few trees next year with Chesnut.

For those that have planted miscanthus, have you had any that are slow to wake up? I seem to have at least 25% that havent sent a stalk out yet. Worried they are going to sit in the ground and rot.

Ryan posted on FB that select trees are now on sale for $20. The prices still reflect the original pricing until you add them to cart then they update to $20. It does look like there is a 4 tree minimum. Unfortunately, $56 in shipping for me will keep me from ordering any more.

By my count, he has around 1,978 pear trees left in stock. It's very tempting, but unless he runs a sale I probably will hold off. I'm still not sure how pears are going to do at my camp (zone 5a, formerly 4b) and I'm hesitant to add more until I have a better idea.

Dumb question but I have to ask as I've never done it before, what is the best way to ship scion wood? They are currently wrapped in saran wrap in the fridge.

I will probably cut at home in the next few weeks. The majority of my trees are up north at camp. Not even sure I can get in the driveway there. Will probably be a while yet.
