This is the red oak pictured above..... Big fat sow and 2 of her cubs. The third cub got left behind and nearly ran my nephew over in the confusion. We were working in the woods and nearly ended up on top of them. They ran off 50 yards and climbed up the tree. Then as we left we went right...

I have a couple open bags of 101-105RM to finish if I need them. This 86-92RM is replant seed from a few years ago. Would work awesome for fellas more towards central MN.
Bump.... Seed is still available. If I don't get any takers in the next week its going in the garbage. Probably over $400 worth. If someone takes it I will post here right away. Until then it is available. Hopefully someone can use it.

If you made me guess I would say that diameter is between 30-36 inches. Next time I get a chance I will have to measure it.
The woods was select cut logged in 2011, before we bought it. According to one of the old neighbors it had copious amounts of oak. This one is almost in the...
I'm in zone 3. Swamp white oaks are surviving just fine. I have not lost one yet. The ones I have planted as plugs suck. The bareroots have shown better growth. I am not much of a fan of burrs cause they drop so early. SWOs usually drop about 6 weeks later.
I am 1 mile from SD. There are no white oaks anywhere close to us. We have burr oaks and they drop at the end of August and are all cleaned up within a few weeks most years. We have some red oaks in the immediate area (mainly on higher rolling ground). A few places are LOADED with red oak...
Going through my inventory of old seed. I have a couple partial bags of Dekalb corn that I have kept stored in my basement. This is traited corn with above ground insect protection, but no below ground protection. It can be sprayed with glyphosate. The big bag has a relative maturity of 86...
Saw these charts on a video that I am watching. They suggest high surges in the VIX and big declines in the S&P are almost always followed by nice rallies.

I think we are gonna need to see a blow off bottom at some point. Maybe hit some of these circuit breakers, get the market halted a few times and really drive the fear higher. Still weak hands need to be shaken out.
Sounds like the South Koreans are on a plane headed to Warshington to make a "deal." They are one of our top trading partners.... Lots of green this morning. Today should be interesting.
Anyone ever play with some of these leveraged ETFs?? TQQQ is 3x the Nasdaq. I don't know anything about them. If I bought 100 shares at $40/share is $4,000 the most I could lose or is there potential for extra pain beyond the $4,000?
On January 21st the price of a dozen eggs was $6.55/dozen. We hit a high of $8.17/dozen in March. A couple weeks later we are sitting at $3.28/dozen..... Damn you orange bastard!! Eggageddon looks like it got canceled.
