^^^^ like SwapCat says. They smash it anyway. A spinning hook doesn’t affect the lure action as much and after the hook up a big fish gets no leverage off the lure to help pull the hook. We run these things up to 15 knots for wahoo.

Same in salt water. We change out most of the trebles to single hooks. Single hooks are stronger. And lots easier to get out of a flopping fish.
