No till drill planting on fresh fertilizer

Have been planning to spread fertilizer and immediately plant our food plots with a no till drill. Someone says this will cause damage to coulters. Appreciate any advice on this. Thanks

Blending or Mixing different seed types

Using a relatively new no till drill. Prefer to plant a mix with awnless wheat but this means buying the wheat, oats and rye separately and blending. Otherwise can buy a mix of the three but wheat not awnless.

Blending or Mixing different seed types

I'd like to buy awnless wheat, coker oats and abruzzi rye, blend or mix them and plant with a drill. Do i need to be overly concerned about blending them together before planting? I there a best way to do this? Thanks

Clover - Best variety and how to plant

I have a number of pure durana food plots and have no intention of treating these with gly. As others have mentioned I also spray in the spring with Clethodim, sometimes also with 24D and then mow. What I do want to try is planting some Durana mixed with annual clovers along with cereal grains...

Clover - Best variety and how to plant

In recent years hit, dry summers in middle Georgia have caused my Durana clover to essentially go dormant. No evidence of stolons above soil surface whatsoever. Year before last some of my Durana plots were sprayed with glycosphate in September by mistake. Thought I’d lost them but they came...

Clover - Best variety and how to plant

What if you no till drill your fall food plots every year? In central Georgia where I am durana goes dormant most every summer due to heat and lack of rain. So even if I herbicide food plot to kill summer grass and weeds seems likely the durana stollens will regrow?

Fall Food Plot Prep for No Till Drill

We planted summer plots for the first time in many years last spring using Green Cover Summer blend. Too dry when we planted and then no rain for some time resulted in almost no germination. Won't revisit summer plots again. So whats in my fields are left overs from Green Cover Fall Release...

Green Cover Fall release & crimper

I've been planting fall food plots in Georgia for the past few years with a no till drill. Now have access to the roller crimper. Summer plots here are generally a waste of time and money. Tried again this year with a Green Cover Summer Blend but as usual lack of rain and heat led to almost no...

Need input on best way to prepare food plots for fall planting with no till drill. Haven't been down for a while but expect food plots now likely 2-3 feet deep in whatever has grown up since spring. Want to improve bio mass and soil so do not want to cut and herbicide fields. Have access to...

Fall planting spray with glycosphate or not

Don’t have photos. Total of seven established food plots ranging from 1/3 to just over 1/2 acre. All have fairly heavy current growth consisting of wheat, grasses and some weeds that typically come up in summer. I do not plant summer food plots.
