What Habitat Work Did You Do Today?

I hope not, I still have about 25 to go. The ground is still frozen and mostly snow covered. I still plan to trim mine this weekend.

What Habitat Work Did You Do Today?

I convinced a couple porcupines to stop eating me trees.

Conspiracy theorys, where do you stand?

I had thought about going when we were able to travel there, but we already had vacations planned, and then Covid hit. I am hoping that we didn’t miss our window to travel to Cuba, because I would really like to go there someday.

Time to lighten up - Laughter is good medicine Part II

I can really relate to this one, I am building a new house, and playing general contractor, it is like herding cats to get them to do everything they are suppose to do, in order, on time. The builder needs to finish a few more windows, and a patio door, the electrician needs to finish the...

    Random ramblings

I too have turned soft in my older years, but I am starting to regret it. I value the lives of deer, and when I choose to harvest one, I do so with respect. The regret part, I had gone soft on rabbits, squirrels and even those little red little bastards. Now, I have an over abundance of...

    Club apple seedlings

Does anyone have a source for Wodarz apple trees? I had 1, really liked the apples, but I think I killed the tree.

    What’s in Seattle ?

Our trip is in the end of August. My wife wants to stay at the Mediterranean Inn, it is in the Queen Anne area. Her plan is to go to the Space Needle, and Pikes Market, and wander the area. We will be flying into Sea-TAC airport, and taxi-ing or Ubering to the motel. I hate dealing with...

Conspiracy theorys, where do you stand?

My $.02, there is always some place in the world that bad stuff is going on, or something that we as Americans don’t agree with, but I don’t feel it is our business to go in and fix all the worlds problems. If another country harms or threatens to harm us, we should drop the hammer on them hard...

What Habitat Work Did You Do Today?

Sunday I started pruning apple trees that were in the yard, then was planning on going to the Apple orchard and pruning more, and bringing fences in tighter. Over a foot of snow on the ground yet, and I didn’t want to get the SXS stuck, so that will be another day.

    What’s in Seattle ?

So our next cruise is out of Seattle heading to Alaska. My wife lived in Seattle like in the ‘90’s, I have never been there, and my wife is excited to show Seattle off to me, at least what she remembers of it 30+ years ago. I don’t read anything good about Seattle, and I haven’t had any...

Baiting, I know this has been discussed and discussed this is just my rant....LOL

I live in northern Wisconsin, hard winters. My county has bounced back and forth with baiting being legal over the past decade. We had a pretty rough couple winters a few years back and I did what I could to help the deer out. I dropped trees, so they could eat the tree tops, snow blowed paths...

    Crossbows as we age....

Sorry to bring this back to the main topic of crossbow vs compound bow, but about 20 years ago I blew out both of my shoulders, I missed out on bow hunting for many years because I refused to hunt with a crossbow, even though the Dr said he would sign off for me to use a crossbow. After about...
