What's for dinner?

Cajun wild turkey nuggets. Tender and juicy. Will definitely make again.

Wife and I are out of state up north trying to find some morels…besides finding a little morel festival we found a top notch restaurant that actually serves morel dishes in season!

And we had to split an order of mussels

Craziest thing was the place was pet friendly if we ate on the deck! Darcy sure liked being invited!

The best way I've ever had wild turkey. Deep fried nuggets....
I kinda followed the recipe the Drury’s posted somewhere I saw. Egg/milk/hot sauce wash. I didn’t make my own breading dredge, just used a Cajun breading mix I had on hand. Then deep dry at 340 degrees for 3 minutes. Also used the jaccard on it prior to cutting into chunks. So tender and juicy.

Went out this morning with my youngest catching bluegill and crappie. Caught LOTS of fish, pretty much all of mine where to small …my son owned them.
Made for a perfect supper for us tonight.

Been doing some of that too. These were all bluegills. Couldn't get minnows bought that day, and while Chris and I cast fake lures for crappies, Bethany found a bluegill hole with her waxies.

Not pictured are the mango, lemon, garlic, white viniger & sugar.

Pretty pungent in the house, waited for the wife to leave to make it.

Quick follow up, forgot last night so figured I'd toss up a chicken I spatchcocked tonight and topped with the hab/mango sauce. Side of garden salad and extra cilantro, love that stuff. Bird was on the small side but a blizzard forced my butcher date up by about 2 weeks last fall.
