What is this flowering tree/shrub?

Was out the other day and right on the property line I noticed this (hard to miss it) but I am not sure what it is..... I'm guessing either some sort of dogwood or crab apple maybe. I have never noticed it before, and I don't think it's a dogwood because of the leaf edges (most dogwoods I am familiar with the leaf edges are smooth). The flowers remind me of those of an apple tree, but most I am familiar with are white.....thus why I think it may be some sort of crab-apple. No thorns, or any other noticeable traits. The more I look at it I think it almost has to be some sort of crab-apple.... I think I will flag ti and see what sort...if any fruit it grows.

My guess would be a seedling from a Prariefire Crabappple.

You might call it the J-bird Fire Crabapple and get rich - especially if it has nice, sweet crabs about 2 inches big.

Thanks native..... I had a hunch it was some sort of crab. It’s a decent sized tree and not sure why I had not seen it before. If it produces decent fruit I may help it spread some.....

For reference, the first pic is a wild seedling of the tree in the second pic, which is a red leaf, pink double blossom crab.
