Water trailer ideas?

Maddog66

5 year old buck +
I picked up this 300 gallon tank and trailer for $375. I think it’s an old spray rig with the booms and pump long gone. Has a somewhat legible sticker on the side that says LINDSAY but the remaining paint looks JD green to me.

I’ll tow it with my 4066r off the draw bar.

I’ll use it mainly to refill a couple of small wildlife water holes on my property but the group here is so creative on things like this, I’d like to hear some ideas for other uses on my hunting property. Food plots? Watering / spraying fruit trees? Hooking to a gas pressure washer?

I’m looking for ideas to make it as useful as possible. Certainly willing to invest some $ and elbow grease.

You could rig it up to double as a hydroseeder

Hey that's a good idea S.T, maybe we could start Hydro seeding our food plots next.

Would be nice to water food plots in a drought!

If it's only a quarter acre plot and only needs a quarter inch...!

I have about 5 acres of plots right now, so it would only take 450 half mile trips back to the well head to refill from a garden hose. At 2 hours per round trip, it would take 38 days working around the clock to get 1” of moisture. Seems doable

Thanks all, i appreciate the ideas!

I like your confidence.

As I was thinking about hydro seeders, submersible pumps, and 27000 gallons per acre per inch, my mind wandered to using it for liquid nitrogen spraying. Instead of hitting brassica plots with 46-0-0 after planting.

Anybody use liquid fertilizer for food plots?
