timber frame wood shed

momatt

5 year old buck +
There was a wind storm last summer that toppled several big oaks. I was able to get them on my sawmill and made one “hell for stout” frame for a little wood shed for my in-laws. My son and I erected it last week just need to saw up a few rafters and floor and put the tin roof on.

That looks like a lot of fun to build. Lots of thought goes into something like that.

That being said, if it's like any shed of mine, it's not going to be big enough by next year. LOL.

I really enjoy timber framing. When a tennon slides into a mortise and you hammer in the peg you know that isn't coming apart any time soon. Agree on principal of shed shrinkage. This is just for firewood and they are in Arkansas so a couple cords is Plenty!

That looks real nice. Great job!
