They seem to have a short window where they are really good and definitely go downhill while the stores are still selling them.

What does Sweetango taste like? Is it a sweet apple or is it a tangier apple?

I have never tasted a Sweetango from a store that is near the quality fresh from the tree is , we have stored and sold for two months and been good , they are not a long term storage apple , Parentage is Honeycrisp X zestar ,, honeycrisp is known for storage ,, zestar is not they lose the crisp in a few weeks , explains much about the apple as far as taste Sweetango is very much appropriate naming sweet with a tang longer hanging fruit increases size and sweetness

Looks beautiful! I just bought a few Sweetango's earlier today at Meijer to try for the first time. They looked beautiful, but I'm sure they won't taste as good as yours!
