You crypto guys buying the dip?

Hell yeah! I'm loving this. I've been dollar cost averaging their rise and plan on doing the same on their way down. Every bull run with Bitcoin has had corrections like this, followed by a continuation of that bull run. But even if it drops 20-30% more, I'll still be buying.

Are you serious or kidding?

I'm absolutely serious. When it had doubled in value between February and April, I wasn't in here bragging about my 100% gains. I don't plan on selling anytime in the near future, regardless of what the price does. That is what happens when you believe in an investment or asset. If your land value suddenly fell by 30%, would you stop controlling invasives, planting fruit trees or food plots, and abandon ship? Yes, I know the land has some other intrinsic value for most, but you get my point.

Yep, that's why I asked if people who believe in crypto were buying the dip. Either you believe in something or you don't.

The Chinese just released and electronic state currency. Once fully instantiated, I expect them to outlaw other crypto currencies. They have just the opposite goal, control and tracking vs animosity. Once in place it will be very easy to identify folks using other cryptos. What prevents other governments from following suite. Mining is the core of bitcoil. While we don't have good data, rough estimates show bitcoin having an energy consumption footprint greater than some countries. The greens are already after them as folks are beginning to understand block-chain technology and mining incentives.

Yes, some big boys with enough capita to move markets will make some big money. Every time Musk farts the crypto markets tremble. For the little guy, it is all about timing. Those lucky enough to get out before the collapse may do OK. Others will lose their money or most of it.

Belief by the crowd only goes on so long. The truth and facts are often slow, but eventually reality takes hold. The only question is when, not if...

No ... and I’ve never seen land drop 30% in a few days. Crypto and real estate are not comparable. One is an asset, the other is just people moving money around (not an asset).
But congrats on making $$$ on Bitcoin.

Why are you prattling on to me? I don't buy crypto. I simply stated that if a person believes in crypto, they should be buying the dip.

I bought a small amount of bitcoin trust this morning on the open. I put in a sell order for it and then headed down to acme tools to pick up a new air compressor for work. By the time I got to Acme the sell order hit and I had enough for a free 3 hp Makita compressor. Then I headed to the home depot to look for a craftsman shop vac. Stopped to look at the 1/2" OSB cause I might need a couple hundred sheets for some hail restoration on some roof jobs. OUCH!!!!

I think all the crypto will claw its way back. We will be wiping our ass with these dollar bills soon enough.

I was reference your post on believing in crypto.

This morning it looks like you made a good decision. Bitcoin up $10K from it's low earlier this week. Buying the dip works

Only if you sell when it is up.

You prattled on and on about why buying the dip on crypto was a fool's move. GTFO

You evidently misunderstood my posts. I said cryto and market timing are gambling versus investing.

Ugly couple days. I thought it would correct 10-15% from the peak ? Are we going to get there?

Think there is some end of Q2 stuff happening??? I tend to think that is part of it. End of March wasnt the greatest either. I think a lot of the big guys are rearranging the portfolios. My stuff was having a decent week until today. Its a sea of red. My best performer lately has been SOFI. Currently buying some AHT. Seems like good value down here. Still down 3% on forum favorite DMTK. Chummer most have about clawed his way back to even now.

Hope it goes down 10 - 15 %. I don't get all the articles saying that the dip is due to the fed to increase interest rates in 2023. I would understand it if it was 2023. I also don't get why gold would drop this week if investors are worried due to inflation worries.
