Spypoint Cell-Link $34.99 w/free shipping

Tamarack

5 year old buck +
Saw this and decided to get another one instead of the DS4K Transmit. Save some $ and let others test out the Transmit. These have not worked with any Stealth I've tried it with though...because of how the doors/latches are.

I just bought one of these too. How has yours worked?

Mine have worked great except at one point one of them stopped working so I contacted them and was told the micro sd card was damaged. Put a new one in and it's working again. Picture quality depends upon the camera of course.

Dang. This might be a good solution. I like it.

Thanks good to know. I don't have signal on my property so I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on a camera if it's not going to work there anyway.

FYI, I got mine during a Dick's flash sale for $39.99. That's the cheapest I've been able to find them. Amazon is 49.99 and Ebay are typically $45-60

It depends where you are of course but mine are all Verizon models, The one location doesn't do well with AT&T with any cell cam I've tried. The last one I bought had the current firmware in it, the others did not.

I have 3 of these none of them made it a year. None are currently working

I know they can stop working if they have a firmware update and they're not updated, but if you did that did they say what they thought the problem was? I have one out for the 2nd year, the others started this Fall.

These are junk and more work than they are worth. Had 4, now down to 1. The other 3 were RMA’d and I sold them new in box to get rid of the headache.

Well I guess I'm just glad I'm having better luck. This little guy showed up on my other one tonight:

I’m running 6 of them this year and haven’t had any issues with them. 3 of which are from last year when they first came out. I’m happy with them overall. There are some disadvantages. Image quality is sub par due to the compression but you can request HD images so it’s not deal breaker. Data plans are cheap and I like the 100 free images. Thinking about switching to more of them for next year.

If you’re lucky enough to have them working, they were a fine option. I’ve just ran into bad luck with them this year and had to warranty them out.

The plans were reasonably priced, I got great reception with it - just stopped transmitting pics and too many trips into my sanctuary locations to try and fix them up.

Yeah definitely don’t want to be doing that.

I bought one to monitor the temp at my cabin to guard against my heat going out and pipes freezing. I don't have wifi available so it was a great option with a one time cost of $40. I set it up to update status once every day at 3am, the app tells me battery status, signal strength, and temp. Signal strength is probly 1 bar more than my cell phone.

IMHO, the pros of being able to use your own camera (and reasonable cost) are outweighed by the cons. First, the SD card connection that links the modem to the camera is prone to being chewed by rodents. I've lost two that way. Second, the cord itself can easily become damaged while closing the camera - I've lost one that way to my favorite Browning BTC5HD. Third, the watertight and dusttight seal to the camera itself is broken by the cord. Fourth, you need to replace batteries in two devices rather than one. The finally, because of interpolation between devices, you need to be aware of and operate under native resolution or your thumbnails will look horrible. Great idea, but in practice I'm opting out.

I haven't had the rodent problem....yet...but did have one cord get frayed from a cam that had a sharp edge- was able to just shove that part further into the camera. They all seem to seal well on mine but I've tried them on some cams that just wouldn't work.
I have 3 and that's probably it for me since I've got other cell cams and plan to add more Cuddelinks. Will be tempting though if they become available for under $20...

I just missed out on them on clearance for $20 at a local tractor supply. I checked all of the others around the area and none of them had them on clearance.

I think it's the AT&T version that is going out of support? I read that somewhere.

I went to their website and the AT&T is no longer available there...so must be true. USA Nationwide...VZN....and Canada are the only options given.
Maybe if you can get a hold of an AT&T for that price you can contact them later on if there's a problem and get a replacement. Unless they're marked as no warranty of something...
