Pendulum Spreader to plant seed mix?

I have been looking for a faster way to plant my fall blend (Grant woods Buffalo Blend) which includes Cereal Rye, Brasicas and clovers into my Soybean plots. Previously I have been drilling into the beans, but I would like to do something quicker and hopefully a bit less harsh on the beans. Has anyone planted with a Pendulum spreader and if so how did it work. I have been looking at this one.

I have a vicon, it works well. I've even spread ag lime with it.

It's very consistent and even, will spread 35-40'. An expensive implement, I bought 2 at a landscape auction for $200 a piece, if I had to pay full price, I'd still be dreaming about one.

For that mix, you probably want to look for one with Grant Woods' picture on one side and a big buck on the other!

Curious how the pendulum spreaders compare to a rotary type like the LP FSP500? Hear the rotary have quite the coverage, maybe too much if you're trying to architect your seeding in food plots..

The pendulum spreaders offer a much more controlled pattern, with similar density across the whole pattern. They can spread as wide as a spinner, at least the ones I've seen.
