My life in Massachusetts summed up in a single picture....

It's not really enforced. About 10 years ago my high school went through a $40 MILLION remodel. Much of he money came from some kind of federal "green" loans...you can see the solar panels in front of my truck. We make our own electricity. We collect rain water from the roof. Lots of green technology went into the building. I think those signs were just a part of the package.
Nothing wrong with being environmentally friendly!! Solar panels going up all over around here. Filthy coal-fired power plants being shuttered or renovated into cleaner natural gas or gas/solar/ wind combo's. Lots of jobs created in those cleaner technologies. GOOD jobs. We've built some NEW, much cleaner power plants here in Pa.

That scenery is spectacular. Great anytime of the year but the fall & winter with snow have to be tops.

You could pick out my vehicle too - an F-150 4x4.

I hear you Bows....we have solar panels at my home nearby and do a pretty good job of keeping a fairly low carbon footprint. I think driving my Blazer to work though undoes it all.

And yes, that's my view from my window at work. Lots of snow right...and some big bucks to track.

As an electrician and a hands-on property maintainer of our home location, and hunting camp "habitat-er" - I'd be useless without my F-150. I only drive it when I need a truck - driving my wife's old Honda Civic for other travels. If we plant new trees & shrubs for habitat improvement, maybe we can feel less guilty about our 4x4's since we use them for the "greenery" ??

Speaking of big bucks - how is / was your season there? On the track of any big ones?

Funny bows...I was on the track of the biggest buck I have ever tracked just last week. His track was massive....the kind of track that Larry Benoit and his sons describe in their writings about chasing Northern Maine monsters. Never caught up with him, then we lost all of our snow on Christmas day. We had about a 1" dusting yesterday and I went out to see if I could get on his track...no luck. Still got a few days left.

I'm very familiar with the Benoit family - I have one of their books. I've hunted in Maine in the "way out there" wilds several years in my hunting career. So I can fully appreciate the "on the track of a BIG ONE" feeling!! Kind-of makes your hair stand on end knowing a big brute might be watching you as he tries to circle downwind. I hope you get to cut his track again, Natty - or better yet - see him and get +hairs on him. Nothing quite like the adrenalin rush of tracking a big one!!
