Multi Drill by 1st Products

Yearling... With promise
First time posting! I have come across the company, 1st Products and their Multi Drill. It looks like a pretty decent no till drill. I talked to one of there reps and seems pretty legit. Was wondering if anyone has one of there drills? The company manufactures everything in Georgia.
Thanks, Ryan

If the quality of the drill is anything like their website I'd stay away. Clicked all over the place and have still not been able to see a picture of the drill of read the specs. Looks like you can get a quote though.

I really dislike the drive wheels sticking way out on the outside.

yeah my iPad really doesn’t like that website. Crashed.

I have no need of a drill for my puny acres planted but know a friend has been drooling over these things so have heard a little bit about what is out there and of course the cost factor

Dunno about website, videos and youtube usually the way to gather quick intel for me. First impressions this rig is not super duty but would consider it to have heavier construction than the Tar River unit in some other vid. Maybe OP can post a link to his favorite videos for others. New poster with hey look at new product stuff always a little fishy but decent looking stuff should sell itself so have at it

For that kind of $ I think you could get a comparable Genesis so comparing it to the Tar River isn't really a fair comparison? Assuming the ND60 is 60"... it's 2x $ the same size Tar River.

Sorry for posting for the first time. Saw a decent product and wanted some reviews on it. Nothing fishy here, just honest question.

Don't be offended by someone pointing out a legitimate trend. I'll say it again. The Tar River is literally 2x less $ than the one you are asking about so your "definitely better than the River" statement needs to factor that in. What exactly is substantially better about this drill that would justify 2x the cost?

My SAYA 507 planted over 20 acres of soybeans last spring and well over 10 acres of turnips / rye / wheat / etc in the fall. It did all of this flawlessly. I compared the Tar River to the Genesis prior to purchase. I could easily afford either. I chose the Tar River because it did all I wanted at half the price. $5-$6K savings can buy a lot of other cool things for the farm / hunting grounds.

These are the pics that he texted me from their plant in GA. The do not have drive wheels, the wheels are for if you want to use it for conventional tillage. It has an electronic seed metering system. The company is 40 yrs old. He said a bunch of hunters were making turf equipment and decided to make there own no till drill and that is how they got started. I would love to hear from some guys that actually have drills and use them.

I have nothing against the tar river and I am still undecided what to buy. That is an option. I have a lot of rocks and the weight of the tar river worries me.

Weird, never had a problem with their website. ‍

So what is your ground like? Any rocks? I had been following your thread before I joined

I know this is an older post but I just looked at the drills. To me, it just looks like too much is going on. Way too much stuff on there. I like the KISS method. No fluff needed in a drill.

I do like the trend of more cost efficient no til drill options. These were / are getting way out of hand cost wise. More competition is a good thing here..

I think they said it’s about twice as expensive as a Tar River. Breddick seems to love his . Cost wise, that just may be the way to go.

Ok nevermind, might as well go Genesis or LP if that's the case..
