John Deere Van Brunt Grain Drill

Tree Spud

5 year old buck +
I am selling my JD Van Brunt Grain drill and wanted to post here first to give anyone an opportunity before posting on Craigslist.

Model: John Deer Van Brunt Grain Drill
9 metered feed tubes with ~7" spacing & discs
Main feed bin for all types of seed up to soy bean & corn - believe will hold ~ 5 bushels
Second smaller seed bin for small seed (clover, brassica, SG, etc.)
Pulley cord to manual drop disk & start seeding while driving
Hand crank disk depth adjustment
Trailing rings to assist in dirt covering seed
Have an owners manual for the unit

Have owned it for 5 years now and it has worked well. Set-up currently for soy beans. Stored inside while not in use.

You would need to pick-up and I can help load if you will put on a trailer.

Asking $1,200, cash only.

How much wear on the disc openers?
How are the bearings?

The gear clutch on the disk raise/lower assembly works very well. Can operate remotely via a rope without any issues. I have not disassembled any of the internal mechanical drive components.

In past 4-5 years, I have only used it about 6-7 times on 6-8 acres planting soy beans.

What bearings are you referring to?
