Looks like an injury to me. Car hit? Who knows.

The MN DNR would call that CWD. Better shoot every deer for 100 miles.

Lot of things it could be. Had one a month ago that looked worse than that. G&F said we already had an EHD outbreak going on here. Are you in or near a cwd zone?

Not officially but it’s only a matter of time....Western Kentucky. She’s been kinda consistent on the camera so I will just see if I can’t keep tabs on her.

I'd say, yaaa

Maybe it’s the angle. Or maybe I’m an optimist. AND I’m surely no expert. But the area of ugly seems to in the back end of this doe. CWD pics I’ve seen carry all the way through to the head.

Maybe she isn’t there yet. ???

Are you allowed to shoot sick/injured deer? If so, you could kill it and deliver samples for testing.

It’s Kentucky, you can shoot sick, injured, healthy, day, night, season, no season, your property, some random property, anytime you want!

Do all her pictures look like that? The ribs showing is normal this time of year with the summer coat. She might not have as much weight on her as some but still looks healthy otherwise. That back leg is also moving forward so I think the indentation is more pronounced because of it. Without seeing other pictures. It’s very possible this could just be normal and the camera caught her in an awkward position.

I would send a picture to the FIsh and Game/ DNR and see what they say.
