I've got 5 Goldrush trees. CAR was a problem...was...spray Rally, no more CAR problems.
How do you like them for eating, Jhoss? Nice pic of your Goldrush!

I’m a big fan of Goldrush. One I look forward to every year. Perfectly ripe, just hard to beat. Keep a long time - I’m still eating them here mid December. They keep but they get tough even under wrinkly skin , rubbery then. Doesn’t affect their taste though. We made some pie with fresh and one canning run of pie filling. Many runs of sauce. One other knock on Goldrush, they ripen late, real late. I have lost some to hard freeze by mid November picking all I could without big ladders and tons of green ones then even.

^^^^ Our camp must be in a sweet spot for Goldrush. Ours are ripe from the last week in October to 3rd week of November. We usually don't have any hard freezes yet by then. Ours are for wildlife, but I'm sure we'll eat some too. So far, we've only tasted a couple from camp. The guys who tasted them LOVED THEM!!

For home eating, I buy them from an orchard close to our home. I'm eating one or 2 every day!!
