Global warming

No no, that’s weather not the climate.
It’s settled science, weather has nothing to do with climate. Nothing.

You can’t cap and trade weather nor can you pass omnibus bills sending $ to your solyndra like donors to change the weather because everyone knows you can’t change the weather. But climate we can change, just ask Gates...

sheeze!

You got me there. What was i thinking? Blame it on Monday.

If I were measuring global temperature changes, I think I’d use multiple thermometers, maybe even spaced out across the planet. Then I think I’d take multiple temperature measurements throughout time.

Its going to be 11 here in La. tonight. ELEVEN!!! Snowed all last night. Will not be above freezing for next few days. There goes the citrus. I too have been confused between weather and climate.

Heard that right now we are at the optimum temperature for our planet(earth). Figured i should mention which planet i'm talking about. That way when someone comes across this forum in the future they won't have to wonder if i am talking about the moon or mars because according to the "experts" we will need to start taking vacations on other planets and eventually calling them home. That will complicate paying taxes---"did you work or receive any money from other planets?"

I guess i'm not "woke" enough---probably because i don't really even know what that is.

I would also have started about a billion years ago, just so we can see across time, but only when my time machine is working. :emoji_wink:

You’d also find a bunch of mass extinction events.

One possible statement is “the planet has no sensitivity to greenhouse gases” - that’s a big claim, or alternatively “the planet has some sensitivity to greenhouse gases.”

If there indeed is some sensitivity to greenhouse gases, that’s something we should look into, particularly when we’re releasing epic levels. And as you learn - through science - about that relationship, it’s to be expected there will be people who reject is what is being discovered, because they think they know better.

Similar to those who think they can actually control the environment. Interesting to say the least.

Hey it's o.k. to be scared. Poke. Poke.

This could be restated as “nothing humans do at scale will impact the environment significantly.” That’s an even more interesting claim, especially in a forum called Habitat Talk.

The clock has been ticking since Genesis 1v1. The end has been set and there is nothing we can do about it. One could argue man is going to destroy the earth at the EXACT time it was predetermined.

We have free will.... that's a God given gift to change things....

I like to keep it simple.... You can keep crapping in your bath tub and keep crawling into it and saying there is nothing wrong... I worked in a refinery in Montana .... I am well aware of what we were doing to the ground water around it but we told our workers everything was fine dont believe what you hear. I made some good change back then, its all that mattered Cha ching Ca Ching$$$$$

The constant "gotta change for the sake of change" i believe has had a negative impact. Changing things over to use electric for everything will be a bigger problem than the temps rising 1.5 degrees every 95 years in my opinion. How would a tesla do in -36 degrees below zero?

I dont have all the answers but I do know injecting a slurry of chemicals into rock & its deep ground water to squeeze dinosaur juice out of the ground is a pretty outdated way of pushing a car around. If a battery can work in the vacuum of space we can get one to work on the back forty in winter at home. Im kind of a fan of hydrogen and fusion myself.... its time those crusty old crooks pulling our puppet strings get the curtains lifted up on themselves. Wanna see some sparks!!!! ask one of your local frack sand pits what they are doing with their heavy metal tailings - concentrated metals out of their wash facilities - better yet if they are making sand for glass... that stuffs gotta be real clean.
