First fawn of the year

Peplin Creek

5 year old buck +
If she carried her little one the 200 days, She was bred right around the 23rd of oct. That’s been consistent of when I start seeing rutting activity in my area.25B9FA03-258D-4EE5-9E35-BCFA9D7BC45E.jpeg77C3410B-BBCC-446F-BC17-E4D52B00F96C.jpegBB6BA522-45FB-481F-9030-5588DFA92A56.jpeg

That seems early. I think they start to drop the end of May in Michigan's northern lower peninsula.
Nice buck rub on the spruce growing on the far side of the water.

Great pictures, I love seeing the first fawn of the year.

Very nice, one of my sons coworkers saw one this week county south of me this week. Fawn drop here in our area is typically first week of June.

Nice pictures. I had my first fawn pic on May 18th last year. That's the earliest I've gotten one.

Apple, when do you start noticing rut activity?

Around here, I think the real breeding begins the last week of October, runs through November.

Seems pretty much the same for me... any oct day that starts with a 2 could be a good day to hunt.
