Edible? Back yard shrooms.

These are growing all over my neighbor's yard. They had a few dying ash taken down a couple years ago. These seem to be growing on the roots and at the base of one stump.

Some are clearly past prime. Others are just starting to show. It has been dry here recently. Anyone know what they are and if they are edible?

I am not even 30 percent sure of this id, but possibly honey mushrooms, a sought after edible. I have never picked or eaten them, so DO NOT take my word.

That could be the winner. Some of these are very large and the stems a pretty big too.

When I read this:

These mushrooms are edible, but there are many dangerous mushrooms which are not Honey Mushrooms, even though they look just like them. Even Honey Mushrooms cause upset stomachs in some people


I don't think I'm going to experiment.
