Cummins grab bag trees

I'd love to know how you make out aerospacefarmer. At that price, I don't need to hit 10 home runs. I'd be real tempted to take a shot if you're pleased with what ya got, and they do it again next year. Regardless, you had a great day for a dive.
Was an awesome drive. I got Harrison, Dabinette, Roxbury Russett, Campfield, Zestar, Crimson Topaz and one Reinette de Pomme and the 2 with no tag lol. All in ground and enjoying 80 degrees days

Those are darn nice trees for $5! How did you find out about this sale aero? ...and thanks for the heads up here.
It was an email I got since I bought in past. Mostly on G.11 roots and some 222

That is better than what I paid $30 a tree for! Great find.

Yes for sure. I think they may still have some

Hey Aero you know I am not close so do you mind picking mine up delivering them and planting them? I will leave the house and building unlocked. The shovel is in the building

Oh shoot they just ran out wtnut lol

This would be a great deal for the backyard orchardist, but unfortunately for us, most of the trees are on dwarfing root stock.
Deer eat apples from dwarf trees too lol

That's a great list! I would be thrilled with those trees.

I ordered mine yesterday, and they already shipped it today.

So far I am really impressed with Cummins.

Hope the trees ado also. They will be small whips but should have good roots. Hope all 10 of yours are identified. Telemark where are you from

I'm from Ohio.

Aero - Have you had Roxbury russet for a while there - or is that one you just got for the first time ?? Just wondering about Roxbury since we're only an hour drive apart.

I did this a couple years ago and put them in root trapper bags for a year. I got the blind draw but was happy I got all zone 4 trees (on bigger rootstock) except one pear. I put the pear at my house and it is doing great. I lost 3-4 to voles that I didn't think would climb into the bags. The survivors are planted and caged and have survived their first winter in the tundra. For $5 a tree it was a home run.

I just got an e-mail notice that Cummins is now 50% off any remaining trees in the barn. Any bargain hunters ??

I have it already and had a few poles last year and this years buds look good and should provide more apples. You are still welcome anytime lol

Yes but varieties getting limited but a few good cider types still available on smaller roots

Aero - I'll make it over there one of these days. Every trip up to camp it seems I have more chores to get done. We'll be planting food plots very soon and I have more spruce and hawthorns to plant. I have several pines to drop so apples & crabs will get more sun, too. When that stuff is done, I'll plan a trip over to see your place.

I also have a home project in the works - remodeling our kitchen !!! Not enough time in the day.

I finally had it with the Hawthorns and started cutting some last week. I have a ton of them but one got me in the face so the chain saw came out. I freed up room for a few more apples (which I don't need) but that is how I justified my revenge.
