Cuddelink general Q&A recommendations

Anyone ever see their photos of deer very close to the camera wind up backwards ? For example I have on two separate occasions Got pics of bucks I’m familiar with but it appears “backwards” I have a 6x6 with a broken g2 on all photos it’s his left side except one where he’s very close it’s on his right side everything else is the same. Tonight you see buck approach and then when he gets close it just doesn’t make sense to me. Maybe I’m crazy but I’ll attach photos...

In the first photo I think the deer is actually walking away fro the camera, so it’s not backwards. The flash washout makes it look that way. What do you have as your flash setting. It is best set at Close.

Leave your system as it is and you will be fine, all your cameras will link on the 33 acres, stop stressing about link level if it’s over 20. On the other property you simply didn’t have enough cameras to cover it and the need to have your cell cam on one end of the property created the challenge . I would play with some aftermarket booster cell antennas that cost $12 on that piece next year or after hunting season to see if you can get a cell signal in the center of your property and that will help immensely .
John,
Which after market booster cell antennas do you recommend?

i had a user get some on amazon that worked for him called Huglu i think but i would need to search for it to be sure , they were only about $12 for a pair. the were pig tail style .

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have two G-5109 cameras that I'd like to swap in "Power House Black Flash LED module Model 2122". Just wondering if the module is able to be swapped into any Power House camera or not. Thanks.

yes, you can put any powerhouse flash in any G or K series camera.

I recently purchased a K series camera that I’m going to be adding as my home unit. Previously was just a home cell unit before.... my question is, what’s the best way to run this thing for the whole season? I do have an option for solar but would a dual battery pack run this thing over a food plot, connecting to 12 cameras, sending roughly 5-10 images an hour on average for a typical hunting season?

i would run it empty with a Dual power bank or if you have full sun put 10K m amp hour rechargeables in it and plug a 3501 solar panel in the back of it. both should run it thru a hunting season.

yes you add it and activate it on the website. you will need ot add a plan for it since it will needs it sown plan. you will need ot run a cell test after it shows activated.

I've got a buddy who just put out his first Cuddelink system a couple of weeks ago. Last week he showed me some pictures that were real washed out from the IR light. It looked to me like he had it angled too low, so I told him to go tilt the cameras up some and get the IR flash off of the ground. He went and did that this weekend, but his pictures still don't look right. The LED power is on the "Field" setting. What do y'all think is going on with these pictures? What should he do? The day time pictures all look fine, and the camera is on a greenfield with a feeder in front of it.

Here are a couple of pics from last night on "Close" LED setting. This still doesn't look right to me with all that whitewash in the front. Any ideas?

Humidity ? Moisture from recent rain? Same things may have caused problems in previous post.

all mine are set on Far and they seem to be taking pictures okay.

I prefer the far setting. There is less motion blur on moving bucks.

daytime pics and flash setting aren't relate btw
