How do you unhang it?
You can try going to camera and do a filter test. If that doesn’t fix you may have to return. What have temps been?

25 degrees in morning, 45 in afternoon

Shouldn’t be,but maybe moisture that’s frozen inside.

I am wondering now - worked fine last night with a low of 35

It could be, how often do you get pictures through the transition from night to day and vice versa?

I get pictures twice a day. Not sure when we are going to get below freezing again - but will keep an eye on it.

I am not clear on what you are saying. The filter changes at sunset and sunrise to activate and deactivate the IR flash so any pictures taken in those low light condition will be affected. If the filter hangs up during these times you will get pictures that look like these.

Here are a couple of pics from last night on "Close" LED setting. This still doesn't look right to me with all that whitewash in the front. Any ideas?

raise the camera slightly and angle it up just a bit. most of the flash is bouncing off the ground. set to close will give you best image quality.

John, any idea on how I can fix error03? It's on a G series.

power camera completely down and remove batteries and try a different set of brand new batteries making sure LCD screen fully dies before inserting batteries. Try to power up off of Alkaline batteries (not rechargeable batteries)...we suggest Rayovac High Energy. If error code persists, camera is defective and would have to be sent back for service.

Hey @john volkman I have 5 new cameras that show the first power on date as June 2020 (I think). These were brand new a week ago and that was just the system date when powered on. I know warranty is keyed off that date. Does that somehow correct itself?

Thanks John....tried a few brand new Rayovacs with no luck. Going to call CS.

this doesnt matter, they all have that in them, the warranty period starts when you insert batteries in it and power it on. so if you registered online you will get at least 2 years form that date.

newbie to cudde's here, so here's a newbie question:

im trying to figure out the model lineage. i am trying to determine if G series is the latest camera, if J's and K's are earlier models with some stock left for sale, or if there is parallel developement going on with current models/technology in J and K and G series? G feels like its the most common to find with amazon vendors, as well as most prominent for sale on cuddeback.com, and defacto feels like the latest model, but i just wanted to ask for clarification.

The k is discontinued , it was replaced by the G powerhouse cuddelink cell camera , the J and the G are both current , J is lower priced. all models work together but a Cuddelink cell unit must be a Home in a network.

it goes by battery days which start when you put the batteries in it for the first time and turn it on.

Starting this thread for anyone using the Cuddelink system that needs help. Hopefully others can learn from these posts ,shorten the learning curve and simplify things. As always, i'm available via PM if you need specific help as well. Ill add to this thread the process I use for setting up my networks and others are welcome to do so as well. If you have a specific issue with cuddeback CS or myself i just ask that you start another thread or add to an existing one that isnt mine. i want to keep the posts on mine specific to those needing help. As i stated in the other thread I cleared this with Bill ahead of time earlier this fall.
So I have been using my G cameras for several years. They stay out all year long and they are probably 3-4 years old now. Put the latest gen2 firmware in them last year and have been having random problems with the cameras taking picture after picture with nothing in the pics. That has happened to 4 or 5 of the cameras. They just take a picture based on the delay I have set. No I don't have timelapse enabled. The cameras worked correctly for years and now they are just useless. I drove past on of the cameras several times on my ATV and never got a picture because it was in the time delay. I tried setting them to off for a few day then back on and same problem. I finally just set them to off so they don't blast the home camera with junk pics. So my question is what is the life expectancy of the cameras. I know capacitors go bad after a certain amount of time. Are the motion detector circuits only good for 3-4 years and is it worth sending in to get them fixed?
