Cuddelink general Q&A recommendations

I'm sorry if this has been asked before but the discussion is too long to find the answer...

Can anyone shed any light on the "The email address entered does not appear to be valid." error I get on CuddeLink's site when trying to add an email address to the list of relay email addresses? I've tried several different valid email addresses and they don't seem to work?

are you entering it under email or text number? ive not sen this issue when an email is entered correctly.

I have a K camera that i recently fell back to old firmware on due to transmission delay issues. The firmware on website ended up being 7.5. Transmission is working fine now but the K camera is having some issues with flash i believe. Lots of seemingly blank dark pics, but then works during day. Now that 8.2 is out, and um heading down to hunt this week, I'll update back up, anything else I should be prepared to fix/do to help issue?
8.2 will fix the transmission issue . when setting channels make sure the second tow numbers are 17 and higher. do a complete reset on it and re enter your settings. start with your home unit first.

Thanks for the reply John... Here is an example of a valid gmail account the the user portal won't take:

Nope, just the 3 shown (but scribbled out) above.

I thought it was something I was doing until I was watching the help video of a trail cam app I was trying to use that said CuddeLink doesn't accept many gmail accounts.

It's not a deal breaker, I just wondered why a valid email address would be rejected?

That's strange. I've had my best luck with gmail accounts. I would try logging out and I'm again of the Cuddeback website. I got the same message when I first set mine up and that seemed to do the trick. Start off with just a single address when first setting it up if you are just doing that now.

I'm having trouble with a cell cam not sending pictures. I walked in front of it and walked up to it multiple times. I see the led lights at night and the camera says "image" and starts counting down for the next. But those pics won't be in the trophy room and won't ever send. Any ideas? It's a k-23 on 8.1. If it takes 10 pictures, it might eventually send one or two

What’s the CC rate? Set it to 1 hr and see if that helps.

I've tried it at 1hr and batch 5. Same results

Can anyone say what "Error Code 4" means? I have looked everywhere online and in the manual and can't find it. Have changed the batteries and it came back looking like it works fine, but then the code comes back and doesn't take pictures. Have tried calling Cuddeback 4 times over the past 10 days and it used to say that they are currently shut down due to a Covid outbreak, and to leave a message. I left a voicemail last week and haven't been called back. Tried calling this morning and now it just says "the mailbox is full and cannot accept and more messages." There has to be a better way to do customer service for a simple question. Using the (920) 347-3810 number on their website. J Series camera with the 4 D batteries, on a network of 9 cameras.

It’s a dead battery code. When you remove dead batteries press the mode button. The screen will come back on. I press the mode button again until I get to Test and then press the More button until I get to Battery test then press up arrow until screen goes blank. Then install new batteries. I’ve heard you can get in touch by going to Cuddeback Digital page on Facebook. You can also message Mitch Radke or Dan Schultz on Facebook. They both work for Cuddeback. I’d say John Volkman but he’s on a hunting trip.

I just updated to Firmware 8.2. When I receive my report everyday, the home camera says external battery Ok on under the battery column. The last two days, I have not received anything from my Home cam. No reports or pictures. Before loading 8.2 It just said battery OK in that column. Is there a setting I missed where you can select battery type on the K cam like you can on the J cam?

there is not , only the J has this setting.

Anyone ever see their photos of deer very close to the camera wind up backwards ? For example I have on two separate occasions Got pics of bucks I’m familiar with but it appears “backwards” I have a 6x6 with a broken g2 on all photos it’s his left side except one where he’s very close it’s on his right side everything else is the same. Tonight you see buck approach and then when he gets close it just doesn’t make sense to me. Maybe I’m crazy but I’ll attach photos...
