Cuddelink 2020 GEN 2 version

Thanks for taking the time to reply today. The cell and remote I have handy are working great now. Tomorrow I'll take them back to the woods and update the other remotes to 8.3. Do i need to reset and remove the batteries each of these cameras as well?
yes i would do that with both, i would do one at a time and check cl level when done and they should link up.

This may change with future firmware updates so be aware that if you update in the future that ability may be gone
What is the firmware they have now? 8.3?

8.3 is the most current. That is not what is pre loaded on the g 5109 though.

John, so what firmware will work with the g 5109, so it wouldn't have to be changed until I wanted to go cell route?

8.3 will work on it

John or anyone else, what makes this happen to some of the pics via text lately? Just started within the past week and just some of the pics. When I zoom in on the pic that comes across small, it is blurry unlike when I zoom in one that comes across as normal size.

Your advice was great. Everything is linked up and working now. I noticed the CL Level is much lower that it was before I installed 8.3. My remotes went from the 60 to 70 range to around 12 to 30. I seem to be getting all my pictures, but I'm curious about why the CL Level dropped so much.

it is likely connecting direct to the home rather than thru another remote, your emailed report will tell the story.

your cell provider is limiting the data size per text, your email and phots page will have the images full size.

The reports show the low levels and 1 link on each camera.

was it 2 links before ? if so, this is why . unless weather was different when report was taken. 1 link means its connecting directly to the home unit.

Always 1. These cameras are 50-75 yds apart, so pretty close. The weather doesn't seem to be a factor. It's not that big a deal I guess. They seem to be connecting. I just thought it was strange.

that is very strange , keep an eye on it and let me know if anything changes. at that distance they are typically 80 or higher often times 99 unless there is a drastic elevation change. id make sure antennas are tight on all next time you are at them.

I've joined the club. Pulled the trigger on a starter pack with 1 dual cell and 4 J's. Can't wait to get these out.

Can anyone give me insight on my report. I am looking at Camera 7 Old Oak. It is a J camera no batteries in the camera running off a dual battery pack. The report started to show 0 for battery days for several reports also indicating ext 2 OK. Then report shows just OK for the battery today the camera disappeared from the report. It never showed ext 2 low!. Any thoughts?

What would be the advantages of moving from a K camera to a G camera? Too late for this year, but would consider doing it for next year. Thanks.

My experience has been when Level goes to Good after it has been reading the batteries are dead.

Only 4Ds as opposed to 6Ds. Allows you to see Externals on report.

On 11/1 it showed 42 days and EXT-2 OK. on 11/2 it switched to good 0 days for three days and then started to count days again.
