Cuddeback's Cuddelink

So I've been happily monitoring my systems last 10,000 pics on camp.cuddeback.com for quite some time. When all of a sudden there are only 2,500 or so pics available. Its counting up again and has already grown to 2,900 pics, but has anyone else lost images that should still be available on camp.?

Had the same thing. Not sure what happened.

a buddy had a k-5789 that he’s not using & said I could have, but it’s already registered under his stuff. Would I be able to swap it over to me? I’m buying the cell starter kit from bass pro the weekend.

If you already are going to have a cell camera, I wouldn't bother having the cell kit unless you are wanting to have two cell plans/networks. I'd just see about picking up a couple of J's.

That K camera will require a cell plan, as will the K or G cell camera in the starter kit.

he would need to remove it from his account, but as was said above you only want one cell unit in a network so either pass on the K if you are buying there cell starter kit or just buy J singles or a J 4 pack to add to the K unit.

I have a J 4-cell battery cam. The report was stating power was low so when I added new batteries the cam now states 'dead battery'. I tried more batteries, no luck. Let it set for 5 minutes with batteries pulled. Any ideas?

I have an external 6 D cell battery pack. It reads 9.73V on the cable. However the J camera does not recognize the external pack. I tried a 2nd camera still no luck. Cam sholdu automatically see it correct?

Fixed...I saw a post which said to add 2 more batteries and hold metal across it to make it a 6 D. I was able to reset it from there.

it should see it, but you need to empty the camera first, then wait until he lcd screen goes completely blank before resinerting the Cable from the 6d pack, There is a capacitor in the camera that holds power and it needs to drain before it can recognize the external. Once you do that , switch the Internal d setting in commands to 4 d then put batteries back into the camera.

Does the J use 12AA, 6 D or 4D?

I have external battery packs on all my cams. A few weeks ago when one got low the daily report said EXT low! Now on one of my cams it just says OK instead of Ext Ok. Did it somehow lose the external?

the progression is EXT OK, EXT LOW , OK,low when it goes ot OK that means your external batteries dripped in voltage below what the internals are , this is normal.

Is it normal for it to go from EXT OK to OK and totally skip EXT LOW in 1 day? Or did I somehow "lose" my external?

depending on conditions , pic counts, and battery brand yes it can , sometimes it can be on ext low for a week also, alkaline batteries are also affected by temp and at times voltage can fluctuate based on temps or if temp drops or rises fast. You could also have had something chew thru the cable or an animal pull it out

I need some help troubleshooting my Cuddelink system. I'm running a G-2+ cell cam with five J-2 remotes; everything is on FW 8.3.0. I configured the LINK IDs at home and confirmed that all the remotes connected to the G-2. I then installed the remotes and cell cam on my property. I installed the three of the remotes before I put up the cell cam, but when I powered it up, it found every one. The lowest signal I had was 44.

The problem is that the G-2 takes hundreds of pictures of an empty field. I get an email every 14 minutes with 31 thumbnail pictures of an empty field. I changed a few settings remotely a day after install, and it seemed to resolve. But it started happening again. I foolishly sent a take pic command to each of the remotes. This resulted in SD cards loaded with hundreds of pictures, minutes apart. Each remote ended up with 251 images in queue, but all I get in email is the field pic from the cell cam.

Today, I visited each camera, confirmed the SD was loaded with useless pics with an external reader. I ran the CLEAR command on each remote cam's SD and then powered it off. Then I went to the G-2, cleared the SD, pulled the batteries, waited, powered it back up. I then armed each remote and left as I was running out of light. When I ran a report I saw that the remotes still had 251 images in queue. I remotely cleared the queue which worked on all but one. Everything was quiet for a couple hours, but now, once again, I am getting emails with 31 pics of my field...

Just reviewing the report, I see a difference in the CL version between the cell and remotes: cell has 1.0.44/5.5.11, remotes are all 1.0.44.

Any insight would be appreciated.

make sure you dont have time lapse enabled, it should be off both day and night in settings. if that isnt it that G likely needs to come back. the other option is you turn the camera delay to "off" on the G and use it just as a cell home until you can send it back. you can pm me your sign in and password and ill take look at all your settings.

Doh! That's kinda how time lapse works, isn't it? It was enabled on all cams - turned it off. Hopefully I don't have to take another hike...

Thank you!

you should clear cell que on cell cam, remote que on remote cams and clear sd on all, you can do this remotely in device settings

Copy and done.
If I ask for a pic from a remote, how long should I expect to wait? Hours? Days?

typically its hours , usually less than 12 it depends on when the remote connects with the home , it needs to do so twice before the image comes thru

I’ve made the mistake of choosing the wrong battery for my j series camera can someone help me it says battery dead and can’t figure out how to fix it.
