Cuddeback's Cuddelink

Has anyone experienced the following.... My report shows low Battery on 3 diff units when its text or emailed. When I check the report on the camp website it shows all cams are fine no low batteries or !
what report is correct??????
always go by your emailed report , the online report is not tweeted perfectly yet.

there is a fairly large group of beta testers already but invariably something gets missed or input brings something to our attention that needs to be addressed. the latest updates revolve around the shear number of new cuddelink users and the challenges it causes when you base doubles and triples in size in a short period of time. i will pass on that there are some interested and if anyone on the page is interested pm me and ill try to get you included.
Hi John, PM sent.

Anyone had any luck reaching somoene from support? I've emailed left voicemails can't get anyone to ever call back. I've got over 30 cameras and now I have 4 J cameras that have died. 2 won't power up at all with new batteries the other 2 will last about 2-3 days then die. I wish there was some sort of other product out there but, I've invested lots of money into these cameras already would like to figure out whats going on. Anyone have any suggestions?

if you havent tried in the last week the phone lines are back open, if you have PM me your info and ill have some one contact you. on the cameras that wont power up , if you are using energizer D cells try rayovac or duracell and they will likely power up.

These are the AA models not the D and I've tried different batteries the other 20+ cameras work fine. I only have a handful of D models. PM sent

If you're that far into the cuddebacks, I say to switch those AA models over to the D's with converters. I bought some and have converted each of my cameras over so they are all on D batteries. Well worth the money for adapters.

I don't think adding a battery pack is gonna fix the problem with these cameras. They all are on solar too worked fine for a couple months then dead. All the others are working for over a year no issue all on solar and as batteries

Someone contacted me thanks John

John- I just read that Spartan cameras now have anti-theft gps built into them incase anyone would ever steal them. I can’t believe that this has not been added to cameras before now. With the costs of these systems, it would be great if Cuddelink could add this feature. It would be better yet if it could be retrofitted back to older cameras some how. I imagine sales would be extremely high for both. I could imagine that this would eventually help curve trespassing issues and camera theft if word got out that cameras now had Gps built into them. I would love to catch someone stealing one of my cameras!

it comes down to cost, anything you add increases the cost up to 4 times at the retail level,, honestly theft seems like a concern to some but i dont think its a big enough issue to sway sales dramatically. We are trying to make our cameras more affordable while keeping the performance the same, but not increase the cost. Adding GPS tracking would do that and ultimately we would sell less cameras not more. I wouldnt want to trade sales with spartan right now i can guarantee that.

John- for sure. As the cost of Gps comes down I’m sure many users would like the option. One friend even said it would be nice to have Gps just to remember where all of the cameras are!

how much more per camera would you be willing to pay for this feature?

I would not want to pay any more for gps. My cameras are much more likely to go under water than go home with someone else. GPS wont help that.

I wouldn't pay $5 more per camera. I've fully bought into the system and I just don't think it's worth it.

i use the ON X to keep a map of where my cameras are , it makes it very easy to manage.

New to Cuddeback. Initially got a spypoint and a moultrie cell cam to try them out before i went all in on cell cameras. spypoint got sent back as it just wouldnt work. Found Cuddeback and have a G model out there in cell only mode before i expand and build a link network. But i see you tube videos about setting them up and then ultimately changing camera settings via the Camp website remotely. But when i go to the detail section of my camera on the website i cant find any way to change settings. i can add email addresses and numbers to have pictures texted to but thats it. what am i missing?

weird--i updated camera before i took it out to the camp. at least i followed the steps and the camera gave all the indications on the screen that it was updating.

your report will show the firmware that is on it, if gen 2 loaded you can find it on cell management under device details and then device settings.

Ok very good. My report does say ver 7.9. I guess I'll try again on the update Saturday. Thanks for that clarification.
