Cuddeback firmware update issues

I bought a 4 pack of j series cuddelinks. Went to upgrade the firmware. All from the same SD and all brand new batteries and brand new cameras. The first 2 went fine and are working in the field now with my first pics from the this morning. The 3rd and 4th camera both did the exact same thing. Update started normally after about 45 seconds the screen said press up and then went to bat dead and froze there. Waited forever with both and nothing changed. Have since tried different batteries with no change. As soon as they fire up welcome screen, then press up and then to bat dead. They won't let me reset or anything. It happened last night of course after CB shut down support line for the weekend. Very disappointed. Straight out of the box and only 50% work!
Anyone have this issue?
Any ideas?

Sounds like the 2 cams may be stuck in wrong battery mode. This is a relatively new issue thats started to come up. If you have a 6 d booster, plug that in and see if it works. Then change battery settings to 4d.

Unfortunately I do not have the boosters. I just got the cams 1 1/2 days ago. Have ran many cuddies in the past but this was my first experience with the link cams. Any other ideas?
