Coolest picture taken......

Makes my bones hurt just thinking about being outside in that cold.

The coldest I’ve ever seen is -25. Coincidently it was when I visited Wisconsin. No thanks, there was something not right about breathing in and feeling the nose hairs freeze....

I personally don't trust the temps on Moultrie cams. Have four out and all within 400 yds of each other. At relatively the same time temps will vary from 30 above to -25 below while local weather says -10.

Yep, that's a moultrie. I see nothing!

Uffff. I pulled a Moultrie today. Same story. A few photos of the landscape and no animals.

Moultrie is fantastic at taking pictures of shadows on snow!! 90% of my pics are of shadows on the white background.
When working properly it does take good pics.

Lithium AA batteries, if your camera uses them, are your friend in extended cold weather conditions.
Energizer Utra Lithium’s are my go to favorites, especially fully charged ones. :emoji_thumbsup:

Agree completely, had them in cameras since Aug. and they still read out at 100%. Have heard they do that till they quit. Opinions?

That is true, when Alkaline batteries discharge the device powered motor will run slower, a lighted device will dim, both gradually over time until they no operate.
A motor/ light/ etc. device is powered by lithium batteries pretty much quit with little or no warning whatsoever.
I carry a small a small, inexpensive, digital readout Multi-tester just to verify individual battery voltages and have found on more than one occasion a battery voltage reading much less than the others. Replacing that battery alone usually gets things running properly again as just one bad battery in the series effects all of the others, thus rendering the trail camera totally inoperable. This is especially true with Lithiums, 7 batteries reading 1.6 volts or more paired with just one reading 1.5 or below and the camera won't work, period.
I have paid for my Multi-Meter many times over by discarding one or two offending batteries and keeping the rest that were still fine rather than throwing all of them away. You can get them anywhere and often much cheaper, digital readout is a must however.
