Jordan Selsor

5 year old buck +
Wife sent this to me while on duty yesterday. My oldest son dug up some of last years grafts and planted just before a wet snow blew through. My wife said he got the tap measure out and made sure spacing was perfect. Made me smile:)
Seems like he was just born yesterday. Now he is an tree planting, squirrel an dove killing young man it seems! He wants to start grafting trees to sell them an make some $$$$... Don’t know where he gets that lol

Awesome! It brings a tear to my eye because it looks so familiar, but so far away, now. I have two sons. The oldest took to the outdoors immediately. The younger one decided on a different high achieving path. They were raised, of course by my wife and I, but the guys we hunted with and whom we shared other outdoor living experiences were just as truely important in establishing the values and passions they have today. I like the young Mr. Selsor's choice of wardrobe. Classic outdoors with a lot of style! Parenting is so difficult! So far, so good!

This makes my day. Thank you for sharing!

love the gritty look of determination in the photo!!

I think you and I are in similar places in life as far as age of kids, etc

I spent saturday afternoon walking the woods with my 8 year old. Didn't see a squirrel, but he carried his own gun.

After that we picked up his 2 brothers and they climbed a giant rock and shimmied down a maple tree like a fireman's pole. I enjoyed it more than they did. Guaranteed.

Enjoy every moment! Doesn't seem that long ago for me. Now I'm watching grandkids take a liking to it all. CONGRATS!

Thanks guys. The good Lord has clearly blessed us all!
The family an I planted 12 more apple trees yesterday. Mostly limbertwig varieties from Greyphase / Richard scions! Apple trees an outdoor living has become a family affair for sure:)
