Any body else finding shrooms?

The boy brought these home from work the other day... roughly 50. For all the junk he brings home ....he finally brought home something I approve of! Been in the 70's here the past couple days and the morels have responded.

Gonna be a while up here. Nice batch!!

Just got done looking here. None yet

They say they are popping here. I can never find them :)

Haven't looked here in Central IN. Headed to NE MO Friday morning for about 10 days. Hoping to hit them right this year, along with the turks and crappie.

Shrooms, turkey AND crappie? Man...your gonna need a hand to do all of that....when WE leaving?

I would guess at least a couple weeks here, maybe more, til morels are out (and crappies).

Killed a turkey first morning, found 4 mushrooms today the size of your thumbnail, and caught a few crappie. If we get a shower, mushrooming is going to be good by next weekend.

Congrats on the bird!

I love you southern guys ... we are still 30-45 deg F here ... my spring sprout clover & winter rye are just emerging and maybe WR is 3". We had 27 F Sat night ... enjoy!

Those were the first morels I have ever found on my place in 6 years, but now I know where to look.

That's half the battle. It's one of the best years in a long time in most places, I'm hearing.

I hear the yellows are doing well here now.... Have not brought any home...but they are out there.

My first ever Morel hunt. I got the bug a few days ago so I set out this afternoon to see what I could find. I found another small patch and left them to give them a day or two to get a little bigger. All the habitat work has made my property very thick. Probably not the best for this type of stuff but still scored a few. Not sure where I stand as far as timing goes.

Best time around here is usually just before lilacs bloom. Its fun once you finally find one. You will get to be a better hunter as time goes on.
