Another one bites the dust

5 year old buck +
I pulled up to my cabin and a tree had dropped right on top of a 4 year old apple tree and busted it up pretty good.

So in between rain showers I cut up the tree that had fallen on it, and trimmed up all the broken branches.

Not much left of it. For a tree that had about 30 apples on it, now has just a couple, and if I could have reach them I would have pulled them off. I am hoping it will thrive and live, because it is 1 of two I had in my yard, and it was the bigger one of the 2.

After looking at the picture, I should probably trim it to be a little more even.

Silver lining ... no need to prune this year. :emoji_relaxed:

It'll be fine. Won't even know it happened in a couple years.

I lost 8 of my apple trees due to the winds that came up the east coast from the hurricane. The winds got up to 70mph.

Ouch. i can understand after all the work one puts into the fruit trees and this happens ...

Sunny: I was a mess walking through the property. I’m still sick over it, but it’s what comes with doing trees I guess. Just very unlucky , but I got my health so I can’t complain.
