Alaska saltwater guide needed

I am headed for Alaska this summer and want to book a day saltwater fishing in the Valdez area. Possibly Homer if it turns out that's a better choice. I'm looking to book a trip for mid July.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

It's been several years since I've used a charter out of Valdez, so the names have probably changed by now. You probably won't go wrong with any of the charters, as they'll go out of business quick if they get a bad rep. I'd be comfortable with any of them as long as they were 6-person charters. I wouldn't want to go out on the big "cattle" boats that have 30+ people on them as that doesn't sound very fun. Google shows several that have good reviews. Just be aware that if you go out of Valdez you will normally fish for 6 hours and the boat ride will be about 6 total hrs. It's 50+ miles to the good spots.

I've never fished Homer, bit if you are that far south it would be worth going out. From what I've heard it's a lot closer to the fishing area, maybe an hour? So you might get more fishing time in.

Either way, it's a blast. My biggest halibut was 110 lbs and the ling cod are a blast too. Never know what you'll pull up. Usually the salmon charters are different from the halibut boats, so don't expect to catch both unless specified.
