A Home Made Feeder Stand

Semisane

5 year old buck +
Here’s my EZ Fill corn feeder with a built in ladder. The build required five 8’ treated 2x4”, two 10’ lengths of ½” EMT, two 24” lengths of angle iron (to anchor ladder legs) and a handful of ¼” galvanized nuts & bolts, and 16D galvanized nails.

Looks good and sturdy. But my back hurts just thinking about filling one of those.

Dang Bill, I'm 75 years old and can fill it with it's maximum of eight 40# bags in about fifteen minutes.

I could do it, just wouldn’t like it :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. I had bushel bags in mind. I remember carrying those things into the woods when I was 20 and that hurt after a few hundred yards.

Thats good looking set up,I started buying corn in bulk and saves lots of dollars,I have to use 5 gal buckets

You guys are so lucky, that would only work here now because the bears are still hibernating under 2 feet of snow. Lol

very nice job IMO

however, as above, I have bears and that wouldn;t last long, a
and my bears are out here as of 2 days ago
and if any of my bears found that thing, they would tip it over or break the container off the stand LOL
they can be pretty hard on things like this!
and I have bears out any more due to such mild winters from about March till Mid Jan!
so not much down time without bears here anymore!
