The only criticism I have about these modern bolt action in expensive rifles are the lack of iron sights.

since I had LASIK’s I can shoot iron sights, with detachable rings on a weaver base you can shoot them with iron sights in inclement weather. But very few new bolt actions have sights on them to my knowledge

Single Shot's and Lever Action Guns for the win. ;). lol. My eyesight isn't great, but I enjoy peep sights and ringing some steel with these guns. Been using Skinner peep sights on most of my lever guns. Been hunting with a Henry Single shot in 308 Winchester.....and its a shooter. The factory sights are pretty good....but a skinner shown below would be better.....IMO. I do have. scope on mine tho.

I settled on a winchester model 70 in 300 wsm. should make a good "anything in north america" gun. Has a muzzle brake and a custom trigger. We will see how it shoots from there.

This gun collection thing is fun.

brake is custom cut in.

I just got it yesterday and its a light machine.

fun fact/idiot moment, when they say to torque the scope bolts to 18#, they mean inch pounds... This aint a vehicle tire.......
