    Fruit Tree Guide

Blue Hill sells a 2 or 3lb bag of P&K fertilizer to mix in the soil at planting time. I think it is enough to plant 8 or 12 trees if I remember correctly. I have always mixed wood ashes into my soil at planting time. Wood ashes contain P&K but very small amounts.

    Wet areas Wild rice/Japanese millet

Jap millet that reseeded from last years crop. As you can see a lot of times it doesn't fall free from the head and grows in clumps. Its usually spotty and I always broadcast a little extra on . if you look close you can see some seeds I broadcast laying on the surface

    Wet areas Wild rice/Japanese millet

The Japanese Millet will reseed itself once you drain the water back out of the pond and the mud is exposed. I always top dress a little more seed but I probably wouldn't need to. This may also depend on your waterfowl numbers. I do not attract a large amount of ducks and geese to my duck hole...

Blue Hill still had some named crab varieties and some apple varieties left. His trees are all standard rootstocks St. Lawrence trees will all be on standard root too. I believe his trees go on sale in December

    Blue Hill Nursery

Unfortunately for a lot of folks Blue Hill sold out of most of their stock in just a few hours. To answer your question, I don't think there is a lot of wildlife nurseries out there. Like you mentioned, NWC, St. Lawrence & Wildlife Group come to mind. Ryan spends a lot of time searching out and...

    Blue Hill Nursery

Here's a little better explanation of the trees I posted above. These are crabs Ryan discovered last year. I was invited to ride along and check them out about 3 weeks ago. They were very productive trees last year and produced a great crop again this year. They are all pretty clean trees with...

A few Wildflowers for your viewing pleasure

That white one had me stumped all morning but I think it's called Tall Bonset. It appears there's a lot of different Bonsets or Thoroughwort varieties.
