What's that got to do with me ?. The only time I've been over there in the past was to ask permission to track a deer and bring the previous owners tomatoes' from my garden. And under the new current ownership on Saturday I went to their front door to ask about the workers on my land.

I just called the town to verify what I was told several years ago. There is no code when it comes to fencing here. The lady said you can put the fence right up to the line but they advise everyone to set the fence back a little bit from the line.

I'd be worried about Adverse possession if it was put on my land.

According to google.... What does it mean to be high Falutin? People sometimes use highfalutin to describe something that they think is being made to sound complicated or important in order to impress people. This isn't highfalutin art-about-art. It's marvellous and adventurous stuff.

Why do I keep coming back here ? . It's my post and I'm replying to peoples questions and comments. Why do you keep coming back to my post ?, That would be a better question . AS I previously stated The Man said he was out of town until late Monday night and is supposed to call me today. So...

I'm not assuming a 2 to 3 foot wide 45 to 50 yard long was cut on my property , it happened.

" I read the OP's posts and I find them wondering around with facts and making lots of assumptions." . Wondering around and LOTS of assumptions ?, I'm not sure what you read. These are the Facts as stated. The fence is on my land, the fence sits back from the property line markers anywhere...

I explained on here several times the fence is on my property , at a minimum it sits back 3 to 5 inches to a couple of feet from the property line. The guy is commenting "What do you mean by "your fence"? Is it not all one fence between properties?" and " 3-5 inches? Are you serious?" . He's...

Exactly....I painted the survey pins blaze orange , and put a T post with orange paint next to one pin that was loose and I had to pound down a little more . The pin is still visible but they definitely can't miss it now.

Absolutely...and I also said it was "hearsay" so I know to take it with a grain of salt. I will say this , more often than not when I've suspected something my gut instinct has been right. Regardless of what I "heard" My gut says Clearing both sides of the fence looks like something you...

If it is so be it....but what does the doctrine say about him clearing off 2-3 foot beyond the fence ?

I don't need a 6,477 sq foot 1.5 million dollar house. I'd go buy 100 to 200 acres somewhere for way less than that. Sounds like you're easily hurt by names if high-falutin triggers you. It's a term commonly used around here....means mothing more than being rich. Again if he has a 1.5 million...

I'm not going to go out there with a tape measure to provide you exact dimensions. , I'd say roughly the path is 2 to 3 foot wide max , and approximately 45 to 50 yards long . Well the guys house is 6,477 sq feet on 50 something acres. I bought my 57 acres in 2001 dirt cheap before the real...

"Working his ass off would mean moving the fence to the property line if it’s that big a deal." That makes no sense , the fence has probably been there since civil war times and of course fixed/replaced over the years . Why would I move anything ?

    New Neighbors / New problems

Sounds great, as a matter of fact I helped out and looked out for the previous elderly owners that lived there. I have to say this is totally different though , I Never met this guy and he's having my land cleared AND from what I heard from a different neighbor he was planning on replacing my...

The land already is posted. As for the adverse possession , I'm not worried about it now. I'm just saying if I don't say something now since some on here think i'm a "Dick Neighbor" for worrying about a few inches to a couple of feet. If he stays there 10 years and maintains both sides of the...

The new guy is the 4 th owner of the house and property since I moved there in 2003. In all those property transfers it has never been surveyed...I would know. There would be new ribbons and wooden stakes . I bought my land in 2001 , but walked in in late 2000 when it was freshly surveyed by...

You're dense Man. The fence sits back 3-5 inches from the property line, and this guy is clearing off 3+ feet beyond the fence , because I've been told he's planning on replacing my fence. I've been here 21 years , and that property has had 5 owners and never had a issue until now.
