    Seed pods on Eastern Redbud

Several years ago, I planted redbuds around my property and I noticed that one tree has little seed pods for the 1st time this year. Educate me on the pods. Will they drop as a pod? Are they eaten by deer? Can I plant them? If so, do they need statified? Anything else? Thanks.

    Rough Made log splitters

Do any of you own one and if so does it have fluid leaks? Mine does and we think we found the issue. Seems like the factory assembled something wrong.

    Chainsaw pants

Any recommendations for pants, or bibs? No chaps please. I'm really starting to dislike my chaps so I thought I would shop for pants. Then, while browsing the internet, I saw some bib style saw pants and thought they would be comfy. Any thoughts? Thanks.

    Norway Spruce issues??

Is anyone else seeing problems with Norway Spruce? I have a couple that have lots of branch tips on the ground, and I've seen some on nearby properties (5+ miles away) with the same issue? I never noticed this before. Is it normal or do we have yet another pest? This is in SW PA. Thanks for any...

    Books on foraging?

I wasn't sure where to put this thread...here, or in general. I'd like to find some good guide books on foraging for wild edibles, preferably a book geared more towards the Northeast/PA region. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Any plotting uses for baking soda?

My wife has a bunch of boxes of "old" baking soda. I had no idea that baking soda expired but the boxes have a 2005 "expiration" date on them. Who wouldda thunk? I think the stuff is still good but she says to toss it out so I'm wondering... Are there any uses for baking soda in plotting? Not...

    Pears-a-blooming

Last spring was a total bust on the pear trees. Frosts and freezes at the worst time. Looks like it might be a different story this year. Fingers crossed and praying for continued good temps. SW PA. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

    Sedge ID

Sorry, I have to ask again. I think it was @Nature Hunter and a few others that said this was a sedge. I gotta say that this stuff just might me a great winter forage. It's been in some of my worn-out clover plots for several years now, and I've been watching deer (from my window, and several as...

    Is AMS okay around ponds?

My buddy bought some glyphosate designed for shore line of ponds. He has cattail getting out of control. He will be using water that may not be the best for gly mixing due to mineral content. I know that adding AMS to the water is a remedy for mixing gly with hard water, but can AMS harm fish...

    Shrub in W PA

This was along side the road in W PA. I was stuck in traffic and noticed it out the window, but I could not get out of the vehicle to take better pics. Are those some sort of mast/nuts on it? Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

    Raptor (Imazamox herbicides) and rain

I've read about as much of the extensive Raptor herbicide label as my brain can digest and I realize it's rain fast in an hour, but can it be sprayed on wet weeds that have been rained on (as opposed being wet from dew, if that matters)? Seems like our weather pattern brings the next rain before...
