    Age a buck

A 2 1'2 vs a 3 1/2 is pretty easy. After that point without having history with that buck it pretty much becomes an educated guess IMO.

    Spraying 2 days after broadcasting

I wouldn't spray gly. On seed i don't think it would be an issue but on germinated seed too risky IMO.

    Pond Overflow Repair

Drop the water level and glue and patch it from the outside. I would think the plumbing section at lowes would have a glue for polyethylene pipe.

    Lowes Fruit trees

I'm in zone 6 and I've had horrible results with Liberty trees from lowes. Out of 4 planted 3 years ago, 2 died and the other 2 haven't grown at all. They just seem sick. I have had good results with Red Delicious, Golden Delicious and Winesap from Lowes planted the same year.

    Scrub Oaks

Anyone have any experience with scrub oaks? Are they worth planting? Seems like a win win being a shrub that produces acorns.

Does this graft union look right?

I grew them to plant between me and my neighbor. Didn't want anything to really attract the deer to the property line and tempt the neighbors. Had a few left over so I figured I would see how they would work as rootstock for the pear trees I already have.

Does this graft union look right?

I started some Bradford pears from the seeds off some trees in my fathers yard last year. This year I used 5 of those for rootstock and grafted Bartlett pears to them. Only 1 of the 5 took and its already grown 18 inches since grafting in Feb. I took the tape off today and repotted in a larger...
