    Soil test results

I'm curious if any soil experts want to take a stab at recommendations here. My usual MO is to bring the soil test to the coop and put on whatever they load up. All 4 fields have been pasture, likely ever since wire was strung in this part of the country. I doubt it has seen much fertilizer...

    Two wheel drive tractors

Chains make a huge difference in the winter on snow and ice, night and day basically. I sure wouldn't want them on in the summer though unless you are putting around real slow and never get on the road.

Stock Market is the bottom in?

You make a good point. I like credit cards for the reasons listed above and I have them set to automatically pay off every month so I never pay interest. However, there are definitely purchases I make online that I wouldn't if I had to go through the hassle of sending in a check or even worse...

    Walnut?

If it's a walnut tree it should have walnuts on the ground around it.

Am I going to regret buying Skidsteer ?

Tracks ride rough as heck on hard surfaces. I would not road a tracked machine. If you are set on driving it down the road, I'd go with tires.

Am I going to regret buying Skidsteer ?

I have only had high flow on my larger tracked machines. The brush cutter I owned was not high flow but it was about 2,000 lbs. I don't think it would be a great match for a smaller machine. That's my only experience with one of those. For clearing smaller trees I've had great luck just...

Am I going to regret buying Skidsteer ?

This skid loader would fit in the range you are describing. I don't own this one anymore but I did a lot of work with it when I did. I built the damn in the picture with it. Made a great little pond. I don't think I'd be satisfied with it on a puller though.

Am I going to regret buying Skidsteer ?

How big are the trees you want to pull? It takes a big horse to pull a tree with any size. I've been doing a lot of pulling in recent weeks. I've owned a lot of different skid loaders over the years. They are extremely useful for property work, even the smaller wheeled versions can do a ton...

    As they lay thread…

Are you really donating enough labor to keep the farm in the black? That must be an incredible amount of hours. I'm guessing someone else wanted the shed hunting, maybe they are paying for the privilege? It sucks, but money talks.

Flew a thermal drone at my place today.

These things scare the crap out of me not only for the future of hunting but privacy in general. I bought a dgi drone around 2015. It was fun to take up a few times to get some cool pics but that's about all it did. It would have been way too noisy to use for any hunting purpose and the...

    Pretty day to be out

That's an animal I don't think of when I think of deer country. What are they like? Are they shy of humans? How close can you get?

I haven't gone out looking yet but these were within sight of my driveway this morning.
