How Much Meat On That Deer?

I took my doe to a place that constantly has trucks lined up. I could not guess how many deer they do a year but it is a lot. Doe was 107 (field dressed obviously) on their scale and they immediately estimated 43 lbs of meat. I guess they are going with .4 basically. High volume I doubt they are...

    Pond cleaning

I would definitely be putting in structures if you have a bass/bluegill ecosystem. Way easier to deal with that now with good equipment than trying to sink stuff later.

    What is the clearcut process?

I have done a couple selective cut timber harvests before. I basically understand that process. Is anyone familiar with how a clearcut differs? Are there fewer timber companies, or more, that will bid to take everything instead of just certain trees? Are you getting much/any money for the trees...

Impressive amount of green considering how many trees are around. Seems you have a good shade-tolerant mix there.

    Tick Season

I also spray my yard and house with Bifenthrin. Maybe every 2-3 weeks in the summer. It does kill everything for better or worse so if you are concerned about bees, I would not use it. If you hate opening the door on a summer night because your house will fill with bugs, I highly recommend it.

    Dozer

We just built a 48x80 pole barn with 18' sidewalls. My wife asked why I got a 14' garage door and I said it was for the excavator that I wanted to buy. The look on her face was priceless....or just somewhat angry.....one of the two.
