Keeping the Birds the Bees and the Deer very happy.

Restored this old, wet field edge by ditching and berming. It was previously reforested by low quality Red Maple, Autumn Olive and MFR before I bought the property. Then planted 8 BH Deer Magnet Persimmon trees. Elsewhere, I have Dollywood, Wonderful, Prok, Yates, Meader, Ichi-Ki-Kei Jiro...

Happy to get another good winter project done, the $4500 check for completing the work is just a bonus. I have completed 25 acre myself in a little over a year. A good number of 100-200 year old white and red oaks fully released.

Snow melted off this week and already the soil/nutrient engine is racing!

Follow up to last year’s creation of a drained raised bed for fruit tree plantings. Pics 1 and 2 are this weekend, 3-5 last spring. Blue Hill’s finest.

I built this in a ten acre cut we did last fall.

Several produced a few apples this year. I anticipate the rest of the dozen trees I have will begin next year.
